Artificial intelligence is reshaping the publishing landscape. While AI
tools offer new opportunities, they also present legal questions regarding copyright ownership, fair use, and intellectual property protection.
In this workshop, Niurka will explain groundbreaking legal developments—such as the proposed $1.5 billion Anthropic AI copyright settlement—and deliver actionable strategies every author needs to protect their creative work.
Niurka Castañeda is founder and CEO of AMOR Umbrella, a activist platform for veterans' struggles. Named one of Top 10 Veterans in Journalism 2026, by Military Veterans in Journalism. Also an author and storyteller dedicated to driving social change. Director of Keep On Living, a documentary about veteran suicide prevention, and publisher/editor of Umbrella Splash Magazine. Rooted in service and creative innovation, Niurka’s mission is to amplify underrepresented voices, foster community engagement, and empower aspiring entrepreneurs.
