Non-Fiction Critique Group - Non-Fiction Critique Group – meets by Zoom every other Tuesday evening. We discuss material submitted beforehand by email. Includes many genres of non-fiction, including but not limited to memoir, biography, activism, politics, travel, film criticism, personal essay, nature writing, history, and science. Poetry Critique Group - We meet on Zoom with excellent results! A member of Miami Poets hosts on Zoom. We screen share the poems. We do all forms of poetry and provide critiques. No written feedback is given. Free and full discussions of the poems last for two hours. We have anywhere from 5-10 participants. The goal is to improve our poetry. Please feel free to join us. Fiction Critique Group - meets at the South Miami Library on the fourth Saturday of the month, 9:30 a.m. This group is for fiction; novels and short stories. In-person meetings last about 2 hours. We have seven members at present, six meeting in person and one of whom corresponds via email from her home in San Diego, but you can be selective of whom you work with. Work is shared electronically the week before and comments are emailed back prior to the meeting, at which we pair off and discuss the comments one-on-one in as much depth as seems appropriate, then swap partners.
